Never use Brinks - pure dishonest company.ZDNET's recommendations are based on many hours of testing, research, and comparison shopping. So, I have an unauthorized Brinks system their subcontractor incorrectly installed and doesn't work, but I now have a contract I must fulfill. Refused to hand me to management in a ridiculous 3 way conversation, which was understandable due to stupid things manager was stating. Say they will send technicians to resolve, but I must pay for service they should have done in the first place. Further checks reveal that recycled previously installed sensors (different company) were used for my new Brinks system. They check and find that subcontractors used unauthorized Blink unit that they don't guarantee. They claim they don't use Blink, have their own brand unit. No appointment, just come to house and ring bell. In my case they sent a subcontractor to sell and install the system. When alarm goes off no one calls or responds. The system is a total piece of junk, most of which was salvaged from the previous system. Nothing but lies and double nonsense talk. This is the most dishonest home service company I ever dealt with. Alarm can go off, no one ever calls or police never comes to make sure it’s not an emergency! Call again finally get someone on the phone for troubleshooting because doorbell camera sound stopped working, can’t even answer doorbell calls, put on hold forever, finally comes back and tells me I need to google how to fix it!! I tell the person on the phone that I need a tech person to come out and fix the problem because I pay a bill every month he tells me there is a charge for someone to come out! This company is a joke, that is scamming people out of money with faulty equipment and horrible customer service! Finally get someone on the phone he tells me I don’t know about the system that I paid for and laughs at you. Horrible company!! Have been trying to get customer service to fix problems with system for over 3 months! Call, stay on hold forever to then get someone on the phone to hang up on you because they don’t want to deal with it.
